Job description:

Sumo Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant 1st assist to work locum shifts with a high-volume neurosurgery practice. Immediate openings are available with ongoing work and competitive market rates.

Position Details:
 • Contract Length: Jan- Jun 2026 (Ongoing), will consider contract or perm placement
 • Start Date: Immediate need
 • Location: San Antonio, TX
 • Pay Rate: $175/hr
 • Schedule: Mon-Fri 7a-5p
 • Duties: First assist in surgery, neurosurgical procedures, hospital rounds (including ICU), admission histories and physicals, evaluate clinical conditions and treatment plans, and review imaging with attending neurosurgeon. Clinic will consider providers with no surgical experience to work clinic only.

Provider Requirements:
 • TX license, active and unrestricted
 • Current board certification
 • Surgical experiece required to work in OR. No surgical experience okay if working clinic only
