Title: Microbiologist, Medical Technologist / Lab Scientist – MLS/MT/MLT
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Laboratory - Hospital
Location: Lawrence, KS
Openings:/ 1 for a MT/MLS and 1 for Microbiologist
Schedule: Weekends Sat & Sunday 630am-3pm, Every 3rd weekend (or 1-3 weekends/month)
Pay: $22-40/hr base pay plus shift differentials

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Technologist or Microbiologist duties to include, but not limited to:
- Demonstrates technical expertise necessary for accurate and reliable performance of testing in all applicable (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, blood banking and limited microbiology/molecular) areas of the laboratory
- Performs patient, quality control, proficiency, quality assurance testing and required documentation processes timely and accurately
- Acquires and updates knowledge pertinent to policies, specimen collection, test procedures, and instrumentation
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
- ASCP, HEW, or AMT certification required – Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Lab Tech (MLT) or Microbiologist
- At least 1 years of Generalist experience in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, blood banking and limited microbiology/molecular areas of the laboratory.
