A busy nephrology clinic located in Houston, TX (Spring area) is currently seeking a full-time, experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join their team! Check out the details below:

Title: Certified Medical Assistant CMA
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Medical Office/Clinic
Location: Houston, TX (Spring area) - with minimal travel to Kingwood and The Woodlands locations (mileage reimbursement provided)
Schedule: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 8A-5P
Pay: $19-$23/hour based on experience plus full benefits

The Certified Medical Assistant - CMA duties to include but not limited to:
- Reviews and reports lab results to physician for guidance
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting area to the exam room and obtaining urinalysis and vital signs. Documents all information into EMR
- Performs phlebotomy and administers injections; processes and prepares labs for pickup; assists with EKG’s, office procedures as needed; and provides other patient care services as directed by the physicians and practice protocols
- Triage calls from office, assist with dialysis and hospital patients
- Perform PA's; lab orders, prescriptions, etc.
- Manual BP checks

REQUIREMENTS:
- At least (2) years of recent Medical Assistant in a medical office setting; nephrology experience a plus!
- Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
(Through a program such as: NCCT, NHA, AAMA, AMT, etc.)
- Must have strong phlebotomy skills
- Seeking a highly professional, personable, and reliable individual
