An outpatient surgery center located in Houston, TX (The Heights area) is currently seeking a permanent hire Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their growing team! Check out the details below:

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct patient care within an outpatient surgery center setting. The LVN supports the perioperative process including preoperative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preoperative assessments including chart review, vital signs, consent verification, and patient preparation
- Provide intraoperative support by preparing sterile equipment, assisting providers, and functioning as circulator on assigned cases
- Monitor and care for patients during postoperative recovery (PACU), including vital signs, wound care, and patient safety
- Administer prescribed medications within LVN scope of practice and monitor for adverse reactions
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensure emergency protocols are followed, and support a safe, aseptic clinical environment

Qualifications:
-- Active and unencumbered Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas
-- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
-- At least 1 year of experience in a related acute care setting performing IV insertion and maintenance (with proper certification) required; OR/surgery/surgical setting experience strongly preferred
