Summer is here and so is our list of the top travel destinations for travel nurses looking to book their next assignment! This list will feature each location’s most popular attractions and other fun activities to do and places to explore. Here’s our list of the top 15 travel destinations you’ll want to visit this summer.  

Nashville, TN

Country loving travel nurses will be very interested to see what all Nashville has to offer. Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame or the Grand Ole Opry on your day off. Not the biggest country fan? There’s much more to do in this lively city. See for yourself by visiting Downtown Nashville for some dinner, drinks, and entertainment!



Boston, MA

Travel nurses looking to explore the history and culture of New England should consider Boston as their next destination. Learn more about the Boston Tea Party at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, go whale watching, or walk around the New England Aquarium in your free time. No matter what you choose to do in Boston, you can count on having a good time.  

Seattle, WA

Known for its iconic observation tower, the Space Needle, Seattle does not fall short of things to do. Take a stroll around Pike Place Market, one of the largest markets in the US, where you can enjoy delicious food and support small businesses. Spend the day at the Asheville Pinball Museum where you can even play with the machines!   

Richmond, VA

Thrill seekers looking to go on ghost tours will find Richmond to be an exciting travel nurse destination this summer. Ghost tours held both in daylight and at night, those looking for a spooky time will find it here! Richmond will also intrigue many history buffs, as it played a large role in the Civil War.  

Savannah, GA

Another city where you can find a wide array of ghost tours is Savannah, GA. This city is actually known for its spooky past and ghost stories. However, there’s much more to do in Savannah, such as taking a sightseeing cruise, visiting the Savannah Historic District, or riding on one of the old town trolley tours. Carlsbad, NM

If your next travel nurse assignment is in Carlsbad, you can’t miss out on a visit to the Carlsbad Caverns National Park.
