Is Massachusetts a compact state?

No, Massachusetts is no yet an NLC state, the implementation is currently in progress. Nurses from other compact states cannot yet practice in Massachusetts under a multistate license until the implementation is complete.

What qualifications do I need as a registered nurse in Massachusetts?

To become a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts, you typically need to: 

  • Complete an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a board-approved program.
