A leading specialty hospital in Carmel, IN is currently seeking a Sterile Processing Technician - SPOT to join their team full-time!

Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Inpatient – Operating Room – Orthopedic / Spine
Location: Carmel, IN
Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift, (4) 10-hour shifts, weekdays only (Fridays required)
Pay: $32.00 - $36.00/hour based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package!

Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure Operating Room staff have access to correct, fully functional, sterile surgical instruments and equipment
• Perform proper washing, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness before sterilization and distribution
• Prepare, sterilize, store, and distribute surgical instrumentation according to established standards and procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation related to sterilization processes and instrument tracking
• Develop and maintain knowledge of sterile processing standards, infection prevention practices, and regulatory requirements
• Support efficient Operating Room workflows by ensuring timely instrument availability
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of Sterile Processing experience in an inpatient hospital setting required
• Orthopedic and/or Spine experience preferred
• CRCST certification required within one (1) year of hire
• Current CPR certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection prevention, and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative surgical services team
