Title: Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist - Registered Nurse RN
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Hospital - Administrative
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Pay: Full-time exempt pay based on experience, plus a full benefits package.

The CDI Specialist duties to include but not limited to:
- Review inpatient medical records as directed on admission and throughout hospitalization for completeness and accuracy for severity of illness (SOI) and risk of mortality (ROM)
- Ensure effective and appropriate communication with the attending physicians, residents, fellows, PAs and APNs either verbally or in written methodology to suggest additional and/or more specific documentation
- Work closely with the HIM coding staff to assure documentation of discharge diagnosis(es) and any co-existing co-morbidities are a complete reflection of the patient's clinical status and care

REQUIREMENTS:
- BSN and active RN license to practice is KS (or multistate/compact license)
- Minimum 1-2 years of specifically CDI and ICD-10 coding experience - required
- Experience with Epic, Solventum (3M), Iodine desired; CCDS or CDIP a plus!
