Schedule: Flexible, make your own hours
Pay: $35–45/hr plus PTO and paid holidays
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) administers physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist as determined through an evaluation process for patients who suffer from injuries or dysfunction of systems, utilizing a multidisciplinary and holistic approach. The purpose of this treatment is to help restore function, relieve pain, and prevent further disability such that the patient can lead a normal life and carry out daily activities. This outpatient center offers a wide range of services catered to improving the whole body, including acupuncture, Chinese medicine, physical therapy, cupping, chiropractic, massage therapy, migraine relief, post-stroke care, speech therapy, and reiki.
The PTA's duties include but are not limited to:
- Administer treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Educate patients on home exercise programs
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Current Massachusetts PTA licensure (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience or interest in manual therapy and craniosacral techniques preferred
- Liability insurance (practice will assist with credentialing of their insurance providers)
