Title: Medical Biller and Payment Posting Specialist Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire Location: San Antonio, TX Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: Starting at $19/hr The Medical Biller and Payment Posting Specialist duties include, but are not limited to: - Post insurance and patient payments, including ERAs/EOBs, contractual adjustments, and payment corrections. - Reconcile payment batches, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate account balances. - Review claims, monitor outstanding receivables, and complete billing follow-up. - Research, correct, appeal, and track claim denials and rejections, ensuring timely resubmissions. - Apply Medicare/CMS guidelines and commercial insurance payer requirements. - Prepare and process monthly patient statements and respond to billing inquiries, payment arrangements, and account discrepancies. - Communicate with patients, insurance representatives, and internal teams regarding billing and reimbursement issues. - Maintain accurate account documentation in eClinicalWorks Practice Management (eCW PM). REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of 2 years of hands-on medical billing and/or payment posting experience in a physician practice or similar healthcare revenue cycle setting. - Demonstrated experience using eClinicalWorks Practice Management (eCW PM). - Working knowledge of Medicare/CMS and commercial insurance billing, claims processing, payment posting, and denial management.
