A mid-sized specialty physicians group in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Supervisor to join their team full-time!

Location: Houston, TX – near North/Spring area (Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Days

Job Summary:
Lead the daily operations of a busy billing department supporting a six-physician, one-NP specialty practice. This hands-on role oversees revenue cycle functions while supervising a small billing team responsible for dialysis, hospital, and office billing.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily billing operations and support billing staff
• Process physician, dialysis, hospital, and office claims
• Submit electronic claims and resolve claim rejections and denials
• Post payments, manage refunds, and monitor accounts receivable
• Verify insurance and maintain payer portals
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, physicians, and practice leadership
• Complete billing close processes and maintain fee schedules in the EMR
• Assist with sister companies (kidney, vascular) initiatives and prepare billing and revenue reports

Requirements:
• 5+ years of hands-on medical billing experience – physician practice required, dialysis/nephrology strong plus
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience
• Strong knowledge of claims, payment posting, denials, appeals, A/R, and insurance verification
• Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
