A non-profit in Rhode Island is seeking compassionate, dedicated professionals for multiple DSP / Behavioral Specialists full-time openings!

Titles: Direct Care Staff / Behavioral Specialist
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire – Full-Time
Setting: Residential & School-Based Youth Programs
Locations: Providence, RI or South County/Exeter, RI
Schedules Available: Full-Time | Multiple Openings | First Shift, Second Shift & Overnight
Pay: $24.00 – $33.30/hr, additional 6% for bilingual/ASL plus a full benefits package

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Direct Care Staff:
Provide guidance, supervision and support to children and adolescents in a residential setting. Assist youth with daily decision-making, conduct and discipline while maintaining a safe, supportive environment. Help implement and maintain Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) within the residential milieu.

Behavioral Specialist:
Provide guidance, support and supervision to adolescents ages 13–18 in school and residential settings. Use a trauma-informed approach while implementing Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) and other evidence-based treatment models. Engage youth in structured programming including arts and crafts, sports, horticulture and life-skills groups. Promote safety, self-expression, learning and positive decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Genuine interest in working with children and adolescents
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation (min 3 passenger seats), current auto insurance, and acceptable driving record required
