Setting: Hospital – Cytology Lab
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4pm
Pay: $35.16 - 54.50 based on experience, full benefits plus a $5,000 sign on bonus

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This Cytotechnologist responsibilities to include but by not be limited to:
- Review documentation and reports, address abnormal results, troubleshoot technical and methodology issues, and resolve specimen handling problems.
- Oversee daily operations within the assigned laboratory section, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate specimen processing
- Serve as a member of the Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) team providing on site adequacy evaluation of FNA procedures.
- Collaborate with the Pathologist for adequate evaluation and sample preparation, ensuring appropriate labeling of specimens and slides.
- Facilitate inventory management, ensuring that supplies are maintained and resolving any supply-related issues as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of 12-month CAAHEP accredited Cytotechnology program – new grads welcome
- ASCP certified Cytotechnologist
- Minimum of 1 year of Cytotechnology experience preferred but welcome new graduates
- Hospital experience is a plus
