A nursing home in Hawthorne, NY is currently seeking to add a Cook to join their team! Check out the details below:

Title: Cook
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Assisted Living / Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Hawthorne, NY
Schedule: 40hrs/wk, Mon, Tues, Sat 8a-6p, and Sun 6a-4p
Pay: $20-30/hr

The Cook’s duties to include but not be limited to:

- Prepare and cook nutritious meals for the patients and staff according to menus, special dietary or nutritional requirements, or numbers of portions to be served
- Perform duties involving food preparation, cooking, and storage. Receive and check deliveries of food supplies and they perform other duties as assigned.
- Wash cooking equipment, such as food carts, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other pieces after each meal as needed


REQUIREMENTS:
- Has at least a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Has at least one year experience in food service. Prior food service work experience in a health care facility is preferred.
- Food Handler Certificate.
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and have a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
