Women in Leadership Spotlight: Megan Barnes

Happy Women’s History Month from Favorite Healthcare Staffing! Each week this month, we will highlight a woman in leadership who has made a significant impact here at Favorite. This week we are highlighting Megan Barnes, Vice President of People and Culture.

Megan joined the Favorite Family two years ago and found it to be one of the best decisions she had ever made. Before joining the executive team at Favorite, she gained 25 years of experience as an accomplished Human Resources professional. Keep reading to learn more about Megan and why Women’s History Month is important to her.

Q&A

Tell us about a woman, or women, who inspires you to be the leader you are today.

“I am inspired by women who want to see other people and women succeed with them. Lifting others up is the best form of leadership.”

How do you set an example for the next generation of women leaders?

“My hope is that I lead by example with kindness and transparency, and help women navigate the best path for them in their career and life.”

What do you want to shine a light on this Women’s History Month?

“This Women’s History Month I would like to shine a light on women supporting women.”

What advice would you give to your 25-year-old self?

“Be patient. Even the things you think are terrible can happen for good reasons.”

What advice would you give to aspiring female leaders?

“Listen. Align yourself with people who want greatness for you and learn from their experiences.”

What is your proudest accomplishment to date?

“My proudest accomplishment will always be my sons.”

What motto do you live by?

“Let’s figure it out and let’s be kind to people.”

Any final words of wisdom?

“Everyone has a different journey in life. Each person needs to follow their own path and appreciate all of it.”
