Upcoming Flu Season

The flu vaccine shortage is over, which means we'll need you at flu shot clinics!

In contrast to the chaos surrounding the past few flu seasons’ limited supply and distribution of influenza vaccines, the availability of the preventive measure for the upcoming season appears to be record-setting.

According to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a record 100 million flu vaccines will be available for the 2006-2007 flu season, with 75 million due to arrive in physicians’ offices and health clinics by the end of October. The CDC has reported that manufacturers have already begun shipping out their vaccines to providers in order to reach them in October and November, which is prior to the beginning of flu season and therefore the most effective time to vaccinate.

The 2006 flu shot/immunization season is nearly upon us. Are you tired from long 8 and 12 hour shifts at the hospital and nursing homes? Are you looking for an easy 4-6 hour shift working with the community? Favorite has the cure for those achy backs and tired legs. We are providing nursing staff to many clients administering flu shots at upcoming events in pharmacies, grocery stores, discount stores, corporate sites, manufacturing plants, and price clubs.

Contact your local branch about upcoming flu shot/immunization clinics in your area. If you haven't worked with Favorite in a while, get your updated credentials to your local branch and start earning great pay!

Favorite Flicks

The Newsletter Staff reviews recent movie releases.

Wicker Man 2006 (Rated PG-13)
Despite its twisting structure, the film has enough enigma and weirdness that it gradually stirs to life. Willow (Kate Beahar) who was once engaged to Edward Malus (Nicholas Cage) has brought him to a remote, private island to search for her missing daughter, Rowan. Ellen Burtsyn, as Lady Summerisle who leads the women-dominated commune, makes a delectably self-satisfied feminist earth mother. Despite its flaws the movie holds you, though the climax lacks that tingle of madness.
Our Score: (2 out of 4 Stethoscopes)

Little Miss Sunshine (Rated R)
Starring Greg Kinnear and Steve Carell this movie sticks to the time-honored rules of dysfunctional-family-road-trip movies. Given a shot at the “Little Miss Sunshine” title after the winner is disqualified, Olive and her family embark on a cross-country trip to the pageant. “Sunshine” examines the all-American obsession with winning with dark comedy and is an authentic expression of American character.
Our Score: (3 1/2 out of 4 Stethoscopes)

Barnyard (Rated G)
What happens when farmers take a day off? The party begins and absolute mayhem breaks loose. The animals are more human-like than actual animals, and the jokes satisfy adults as well as the kids. In short, it’s a comedy with a lot of laughs that’s great for young children. What happens in the Barnyard, stays in the Barnyard.
Our Score: (3 out of 4 Stethoscopes)
