Rewards Program

For
every hour you are paid as an employee of Favorite Staffing,
you're earning points you can spend in our Favorite Rewards
Program!
Favorite
Rewards is an exciting program designed to reward you, our valued
nurses and allied health professionals, for your hard work and
dedication. For every hour of work that you're paid for, you
earn points that can be redeemed at our Rewards
site.
Even
if you've never logged in to the Rewards site, your points have
automatically accumulated for each hour you've worked since the
program began in November
2003.
Many of our employees have thousands of points that have never
been cashed in! Don't let those points go to waste! Log
in at the site now to see how many points you've earned!
Once you earn enough points to reach our first award level, you
can redeem them for any gift you choose from that level. Or,
you can save your points to redeem for gifts from a higher level!
The choice is yours!
Employees
who have redeemed their points are elated with the program. Lisa
Young, a Favorite RN, shares her experience:
"At
first, as with any change, I was very skeptical of the program.
However, after cashing in some points on two
different
instances, I have been very happy with the program. With my first
order I selected the Samsung 14'' Flat screen TV, which I just
love because it's a very user-friendly television. My second
order was for the Toshiba VCR/DVD combo. Ordering was a breeze
and I received both products in a very timely manner with no problems
at all! I look forward
to many more Favorite Rewards in the future!"

Ann
Marie Mackay, RN Praises Charlotte Branch Staff and Fellow
Nurse, Kathy Close, RN
We recently received a letter from Ann Marie Mackay, RN, who praised
the staff of the Charlotte branch of Favorite Staffing. She went
on to commend the work of a a co-worker, Kathy Close, RN. Her letter
read, "I would like to tell
you what it
is that
I
like
about Favorite
Nurses.When
I
interviewed
at
the Charlotte N.C. office, I was impressed with the professional
way in which applicants were treated. My nursing career spans
from nurse manager, educator, customer service representative
and advocate for patient's right to safe and competent care.
I have also worked ICU, CCU, ED, Med Surg, home health.
I decided that I needed flexibility in my life and have worked
wiith Favorite Staffing on numerous occasions and they were very
positive - both the staff in the office and on the telephone
after hours."
Ann
continues, "Being an employee of Favorite Staffing is the best
thing that I could have done and I appreciate having the
opportunity
to explain
why. Tamisha Merchant Hunter, Kim Skipper and Michele Ortiz
are the reason that I am an employee of this company. A client
has
offered to buy my contract but after having the privilege to
work with such a group, I declined. The Charlotte office
staff are wonderful
and are very helpful in giving advice in difficult situations.
They are sympathetic when it is called for and their understanding
of my working needs is incredible. Many other Favorite Staffing
employee' agree. The telephone
staff are so warm and friendly that it feels like you are talking
to an old friend. I might add that it helps on the home
front because my husband
stated 'I have never seen you so content with your career.' I am
proud to wear my Favorite Staffing badge."
In
addition to the Favorite Staffing branch staff in Charlotte and
in the Service Center (the after hours staff), Ann wished to
recognize another nurse. She wrote, "There is one
nurse
who is also employed by Favorite Staffing and she exempliflies
what it is to be a true professional.
Her name
is Kathy Close, RN and working with her is such joy. She
is compassionate and giving and sensitive. All the patients
who come into contact
with her are very happy to see her. She works as a team player
and has helped me and others more than once in time of crisis.
Wherever we work with Kathy, we know it's going
to be a good day. Thanks Kathy!"

Nurse, Carol Kincade, RN Gives Birth to Triplets
On January 22, 2005, Carol Kincade, a Registered Nurse from the
Favorite Staffing branch office in Cherry Hill, received special
gifts - three of them to be exact! Carol delivered triplet boys:
Nicholas, Kevin and Mathew. The boys join siblings aged 9 and
11 at the couple's home. Carol has been with Favorite Staffing
since August of 2003 and plans to return to work for Favorite
Nurses in the near future. She adds that the triplets use between
25 and 30 diapers per day!
Sherry Davis, RN Publishes Nursing Book
Sherry, a Favorite travel nurse, wrote a book about her experiences in nursing.
Her book, So You Want To Be A Nurse, is available on
www.amazon.com. Sherry has been a nurse for 27 years, after graduating
from St. Franci
School of Nursing. She has worked in hospitals in Wichita, KS and
she recently traveled to Kansas City.
Sherry says,
"I have wanted to be a nurse since I was 16. I love helping people
and
explaining to
patients and their families what is happening with their hospitalization.
Most patients are scared and not feeling well, and helping them
to understand their illness decreases anxiety."

Spring
Flowers

The
first flowers that poke throught the seemingly rigid
ground are often seen as the first sign of spring.
Spring flowers symbolize
new beginnings; the end of the long cold winter months and the
beginning of a carefree summer.
Spring flowers are your reward for planting all of those bulbs
in the fall. Tulips, daffodils and hyacinths are usually the first
spring flowers to appear. Their light, pastel colors give a hint
of the summer colors to come.
Not only are
they beautiful, but they have a language all their own. All flowers
have a meaning. Here’s what these spring
flowers mean.
DAFFODIL
- Unrequited love; you're the only one; the sun shines when
I'm with you
HYACINTH - these vary by color
Blue, Constancy Purple - I am sorry; please forgive me; sorrow
Red or pink, Play White - Loveliness; I'll pray for you
Yellow - Jealousy
TULIP - these also vary by color
Red - Believe me; declaration of love
Variegated - Beautiful eyes
Yellow - Hopeless love
